Dr. Chitra Krishnamurti

In addition to being an established scientist, Dr. Chitra Krishnamurti is the founder and Director of Nrityalaya School of Odissi in Washington, DC.  She is a disciple of the late Padma Vibhushan Kelucharan Mohapatra and the late Padma Shri Sanjukta Panigrahi.  
Dr. Krishnamurti is a respected dancer, choreographer, and teacher who has performed Odissi widely across the US and India.  She is the recipient of awards from the Montgomery County Arts Council and the Montgomery County Commission on the Humanities.
